Mission and Vision

Mission of iCAB

Strengthening Iran’s Conformity Assessment Ecosystem

The Iran Confederation of Accredited Bodies (iCAB), as an independent, specialized, and participatory institution, is mandated to provide the professional and institutional framework necessary for the development, support, and strategic alignment of conformity assessment bodies across the country.

Acting as a facilitator, coordinator, and collective representative of accredited entities, iCAB pursues its mission through five strategic pillars:

1. Technical and Professional Capacity Development

Enhancing the competence of member institutions through structured training, knowledge development, experience exchange, and continuous professional advancement.

2. Institutional Representation and Advocacy

Providing coherent representation and effective advocacy of members’ professional interests in engagement with governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, international stakeholders, and market actors.

3. Promotion of Integrity and Transparency

Advancing a culture of impartiality, accountability, transparency, and compliance throughout the national quality value chain.

4. Professional Synergy and Technical Convergence

Fostering structured collaboration among sectoral and provincial associations to articulate a unified technical voice within the conformity assessment community.

5. Supporting Quality Governance

Contributing to national quality governance through participation in policy dialogue, standard development processes, strategic analysis, and structured quality monitoring mechanisms.

To fulfill this mission, iCAB utilizes institutional instruments such as the National Cooperation Charter, the Iran Quality Observatory (IQO), the iCAB Academy, and an integrated professional network. The Confederation remains committed to professional ethics, institutional independence, scientific rigor, and constructive engagement in advancing Iran’s conformity assessment system.

Vision of iCAB

Toward 1410 (2031–2032): A Leading Institutional Actor in Quality Governance

By the year 1410 (2031–2032), iCAB envisions becoming a leading, responsible, and nationally recognized institution in the development of conformity assessment infrastructure in Iran. Leveraging the expertise of its member associations, its participatory governance model, and effective engagement with domestic and international stakeholders, iCAB aspires to assume a central role in technical governance and national quality advancement.

Strategic Attributes of the Vision:

  • A nationally recognized professional authority in conformity assessment, acknowledged by governmental institutions, industry stakeholders, media, and the professional community;

  • A structured facilitator of technical policymaking, actively contributing to regulatory dialogue, standard development, quality monitoring, and strategic recommendations;

  • A cohesive network of competent sectoral and provincial associations strengthening their professional standing within the national governance architecture;
