Quality Control and Conformity Assessment Are More Crucial Than Ever in the Current Crisis

According to iCAB News, Dr. Alireza Mohab Ali, President of the Iran Confederation of Accredited Bodies (iCAB), emphasized the vital importance of focusing on quality control and conformity assessment amid the challenging and extraordinary circumstances the country faces during times of crisis and conflict.

He stated: “In times of war, quality and conformity assessment are not only technical requirements but critical challenges. Neglecting them can impact the supply chain, the safety of products and services, and even the performance of vital infrastructure.”

Dr. Moheb Ali noted that under such circumstances, pressure on manufacturing industries, healthcare centers, emergency organizations, and service providers increases significantly. Therefore, adherence to standards and strict quality monitoring play a fundamental role in maintaining national resilience.

According to him, accredited bodies across the country are working to facilitate assessment processes while preventing any decline in the quality of equipment, raw materials, industrial products, and specialized services.

The iCAB President stressed: “Conformity assessment is the key instrument for building trust throughout the production and service chains. When products or services pass through rigorous inspection, testing, and certification processes, consumers, regulatory authorities, and even domestic business partners gain greater confidence.”

He added that during crises, quick and technically grounded decisions are essential, and the country’s specialized bodies are committed to ensuring this reliability.

Dr. Moheb Ali also called for stronger cooperation among government agencies, the private sector, and conformity assessment organizations, saying: “Enhanced coordination between these sectors can prevent errors, duplication, and resource waste, and ultimately contribute to the security and well-being of society.”
