Governance and Strategic Stewardship

The Board of Directors serves as the supreme executive and strategic authority of the Iran Confederation of Accredited Bodies (iCAB), operating within a governance framework founded on democratic representation, professional merit, and institutional accountability.

The Board is composed of elected representatives from provincial and sectoral member associations, complemented by recognized experts in conformity assessment and accreditation-related disciplines. This composition ensures both technical depth and representative legitimacy within iCAB’s decision-making architecture. 

Entrusted with strategic stewardship, the Board defines long-term policy orientations, approves institutional programs, oversees implementation mechanisms, and safeguards alignment with national quality infrastructure objectives. Its mandate extends beyond administrative oversight to encompass structured engagement in national quality governance discourse.

Committed to institutional impartiality, transparency, and evidence-informed decision-making, the Board actively promotes participatory governance and professional consultation. Through sustained coordination with member associations and relevant national stakeholders, it contributes to strengthening the integrity, coherence, and international alignment of Iran’s conformity assessment ecosystem.

By fostering collaborative leadership and structured policy dialogue, the Board of Directors positions iCAB as a credible and forward-looking institutional actor within the National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) framework.
